Apply to file:
To apply an html document to a file on your hard drive first click the
"Apply to file" button or select the Apply from the dropdown
menu and click on "Apply to file"
Then select the html document that you want
to apply the meta tags into then click the "Open" Button
The document will then be opened and the
new meta tags will be applied.
You can then save the document by
clicking the button "Save to file" and use the same steps above
to save the html document.
Apply to url:
To apply your meta tags to a url first click the "Apply to url"
button or select the Apply from the dropdown menu and click on "Apply
to url"
Once you clicked on apply to url a new form will open allowing you to
enter the url that you want to apply the meta tags to.
Enter the url and click on the
"GET" button.
The Status display will let you know what the progress is during the
download, if for some reason there is nothing happening or you don't want
to continue just click on cancel and the download will stop.
Once the download is complete the html
document will be loaded into the tag applicator window with the new meta
tags applied. You can then Save the document to your hard drive and upload
it at a later time.
Important: The apply to url will download only and will not make
changes to your online documents please read below if you want to make permanent
changes to your online documents.
If you want to apply your tags to your
website right away and not save them to your hard drive use the ftp
uploader to apply your tags right on the server so there is no need to
download, save and re-upload. See Tag Uploader for details
